JAKARTA – PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) held a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Rumah Tani Nusantara to support the distribution of agricultural commodities to various regions across Indonesia, in Jakarta on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
This collaboration marks a strategic step for Pos Indonesia in maintaining a smooth food supply chain while supporting the empowerment of local farmers, particularly in disaster-affected areas.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dino Ariyadi, EVP of Enterprise Business at Pos Indonesia, and Bahtiar, President Director of Rumah Tani. The signing was witnessed by Haris, Acting President Director of PT Pos Indonesia; Ferry Irawan, Deputy for Coordination of SOE Management and Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs; and Yuli Sri Wilanti, Assistant Deputy for SOE Development in Infrastructure and Logistics. Prasabri Pesti, Director of Courier and Logistics Business at PT Pos Indonesia, and Asih Kurniasari Komar, Director of Human Capital at PT Pos Indonesia also attended the signing.
“Pos Indonesia is ready to take on a strategic role to ensure that the distribution of agricultural commodities runs smoothly, on time, and reaches all regions, including areas that currently still face limited access post-disaster,” stated Haris, Acting President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero).
He further explained that this collaboration leverages Pos Indonesia's national logistics network to support the distribution of agricultural commodities managed by Rumah Tani Nusantara. Through this partnership, Pos Indonesia is committed to enhancing the reliability and efficiency of agricultural commodity shipments, especially those requiring precise timing and wide reach.
PT Rumah Tani Nusantara itself is an agribusiness company that establishes an integrated agricultural ecosystem with a focus on empowering local farmers. This effort is carried out by providing capital, technical assistance, and structured market access for agricultural products from various regions.
“This cooperation allows the agricultural products of local farmers to be distributed more widely and in a more organized manner, whether to central wholesale markets, institutional buyers, or modern distribution networks,” said Bahtiar, President Director of PT Rumah Tani Nusantara.
He revealed that since December 2, 2025, Rumah Tani has contributed in absorbing the harvests of farmers in disaster-affected areas, achieving a total of over 221 tons of chili, 2 tons of durian, and 4 tons of coffee, as well as distributing more than 40 tons of rice aid to affected communities. The synergy with Pos Indonesia is believed to strengthen these achievements moving forward.
Within the scope of cooperation, Pos Indonesia will provide shipping services for agricultural commodities owned by Rumah Tani Nusantara. These services include cargo pickup from warehouses or collection points, delivery to distribution points and destination markets across Indonesia, as well as loading services and shipment status reporting.
Additionally, this agreement regulates compensation which guarantees accordance with applicable regulations, as well as the commercial, operational, and administrative aspects of shipping agreed upon by both parties. This cooperation also supports the development of Pos Indonesia's business-to-business (B2B) service portfolio, particularly in the agribusiness and agricultural commodity logistics segments.
Meanwhile, Ferry Irawan, Deputy for Coordination of SOE Management and Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, stated that the regions of North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh contribute significantly to the national economy, with a combined GRDP reaching 7.82 percent of the national GDP in 2024. However, natural disasters that have hit several of these areas have impacted food production and distribution.
“The role of logistics SOEs like PT Pos Indonesia becomes highly strategic, particularly in supporting distribution and maintaining the continuity of the food supply chain as part of accelerating economic recovery,” Ferry Irawan emphasized.
In the context of post-disaster economic recovery, the government is also pushing to accelerate the reopening of access and the strengthening of connectivity. Since private logistics providers are not yet operating in a number of affected areas, the role of logistics SOEs like Pos Indonesia becomes increasingly vital.
In addition to supporting agricultural commodity distribution, Pos Indonesia is also deemed to have the experience and capacity to execute government stimulus policies, including distributing social assistance and logistics support for seeds and fertilizers to disaster-affected areas.
